During Nanowrimo Whispering Stories tagged me to complete the Throne of Glass book tag because my blog posts on the series were all really positive.
Lysandra: A book with a cover change you loved
Book cover changes are a pain if you started buying the series during the first section of books being published. It is one of the reasons I only tend to buy series once they have been completed, stops my books not matching frustrating me. I love my version of the Hunger Games, they are all brightly coloured and really simple which I didn’t origanlly think would work but clearly do.
Abraxos: A book that’s better on the inside that it looks on the outside
Girl with a Pearl Earing by Tracy Chevalier, this book cover doesn’t look great. The book is based on the painting and I really enjoyed it. It is not a book that I would usually choose for myself but I did enjoy it.
Erilea: A series with great world-building
I personally love the World building in Lord of the Rings and the other books based in Arda. The world-buidling there is epic, from langugages including alphabets; cultures; races; history. It is all there modern writiers may create all of this information, but it never gets to go into the book as the modern reader doesn’t appricaite it as it used to be.
Rifthold: A book that combines genres
The Lunar Chronicles is a series which combines Fairytale retellings and dystopian genres. These books also have elements of fantasy which is a good way of breaking up the tension.
Damaris: A book based on/inspired by a myth or Legend
I really like anything by Rick Riordan which are inspired by Greek Gods. If I can’t choose anything by him, I woud certianly say the Mortal Instuments Series by Cassandra Clare as I have really enjoyed reading it, though it is yet another series I need to finish!
Kaltain Rompier: A book with an unexpected twist
I found this a little difficult as I don’t seem to read many books with unepected twists, but I think the last one I read that shocked me(other than Throne of Glass Series) was Assassins Apprentice.
Assassin’s Keep: A book with an Unreliable Narrator
The book that stands out in my mind as having an unreliable narrator is the Great Gatsby. The Narrator in the book while becoming friends with those involed in the book has not known them for long and as such those around him probably won’t confide as much as the narrator needs to be reliable.
Asterin Blackbeak: A book that’s got Squad Goals
A lot of young adult books have groups with squad goals. The one that I have most recently read is The Heroes of Olympus Series which I am trying to finish this month.
Terrasen: A book that feels like home
The books that feel most like home for me is Harry Potter, like many people my age it is a book that I grew up with meaning that the books are very familiar to me and make me feel like I am at home, no matter where I am.
Aelin Ashryver Galathynius: A book with the power to destroy you
One of the books that nearly destroyed me, other than Kingdom of Ash, is Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. The first time I read the end of Harry Potter I was in pieces.
Manon Blackbeak: A book that intimidated you
A book that massively intimidated me was Les Miserables, and I was right to be, as I didn’t enjoy the book and while I read 500 pages of it (about 50%) I did not manage to finish the book.
Rowan Whitethorn: A book that makes you swoon
I don’t read many romance books but the book that made me swoon the first time I read it was Pride and Prejudice. If you take the time to understand it, which the first fime I read it I didn’t manage to fully understand it, it is very romantic.
Chaol Westfall: A book that challenged you to see things differently
Digital Fortress by Dan Brown. This book made me start to think about all the different possibilties of digital secutrity.
Fleetfoot: A book that you recieved as a gift
The Hobbit was given to me for Christmas last year and though I started it I haven’t got far and I doubt that I will mamange to finish it beofre the end of the year. I will have to try again.
The Eye of Elena: A book you found right when you needed it
While I already owned the Percy Jackson Series, I picked up the book at a point where I was in a reading slump and racing through the five books, whcih certainly got me out of my slump and reading again

Les Misérables did not intimidate me when I read it- I already gained a lot of knowledge through the musical, and that helped a lot. If I had just seen that book on the shelf, would have walked right past it. I am actually obsessed with Les Mis.
